[...] The art of live performance is one that is often over-looked, we have all read the story about the ignored busker who in fact was actually one of the world’s most respected musicians and this is one of the reasons Melbourne is so wonderful, we love live music.
x posting my comment on a link to this from facebook.

Bach is one of my favorite classical composers. But if I was on my way to work I wouldn't want to lose my job just to watch someone play violin, famous/million dollar violin or not. I don't think that "experiment" was well thought out. If he'd done this in a park or a mall I think the result would have been significantly different.

what feelings did you have reading this poem first time? I thought 'yes, this is a kind of inner strenght' and was waiting for a final moral sermon at the end. Instead there was this funny and first of all ironic sentence. So I didn't see this text as a excuse being human ... I would just twist it and say: If the family dog can, so why can't I? Why do I let the (entertainment, food, medical) industry seduce to buy and use they products? Why can't I tread loving people gratefuly, politely and indulgently?
Anyway I like the poem.

(my english is not the best)

Wow. Quite the vulgar attitude you've got there (in multiple ways). The ironic thing is... you've just displayed for everyone that YOU don't get it. You don't get THIS, the little story you're commenting on. (And no, the extra irony of me coming essentially turning to you and saying "I do" is not lost on me.)

It's particularly sad given the explanation of the parable which jayb3ta gave below.

Dag Gilles,
je verhaal roept beelden op, d.w.z. een korte film maakt situaties 'heerlijk' zichtbaar, denk ik.
Moeten we over praten.
Dag boy, groeten thuis..
