M.C.Escher continues to inspire

I once saw the drawing behind this, which was very good, but the hands didn't look as realistic here.

So, my guess is that this is graphic based on that drawing, in which the butcher image has remained untouched, and the hands and pencil have been replaced with photographic ones.
